Presentation

 

 

Graduated as PhD in Public Health and Epidemiology from the University of Copenhagen in November 2020. I continued as full-time employee at the Palliative Care Research Unit, Bispebjerg Hospital coordinating and collaborating with research projects funded by the EORTC Quality of Life Group and Danish research projects funded by the Danish Cancer Society.

 

M.Sc. Public Health from University of Chile in 2015.

Physiotherapist, BA Rehabilitation from the University of Tarapacá in 2006.

Primary fields of research
  • Development and validation of Patient-Reported Outcomes (PRO) instruments for cancer patients

Current research
  • Participating in the development of the EUonQoL tool-kit for the assessment of quality of life in cancer patients and survivors across 27 EU countries
  • Coordinating the EORTC WISP project: International validation/adaptation of the open-ended WISP ('Write In three Symptoms/Problems') instrument for symptom assessment in cancer patients across 8 countries
  • Using data from the Danish Palliative Care Database to compare symptoms and problems reported by cancer and non-cancer patients using the WISP instrument from 2016-2021
  • Analyzing data and writing 2 papers on the implementation of clinical guidelines for the treatment of pain, dyspnea, constipation and depression in cancer patients in specialist palliative care in Denmark (Lærings-og kvalitetsteams projekt)
  • Conducting literature search and writing two DMCG-PAL evidence-based clinical guidelines for the implementation of PRO in specialist palliative care in Denmark
  • Collaborating with several research projects within the EORTC QLG
  • Leading the validation of the Carer Support Needs Assessment Tool (CSNAT) for caregivers of patients in primary palliative care services in Chile
