Review of the Three Tests
Common language among therapists internally, but also importantly in relation to our many collaboration partners.
With the ambition that our collaboration partners also incorporate test results into the overall assessment and plan for patients/citizens.
Use of the three tests does NOT exclude the use of already implemented/applied tests (both generic and more diagnosis-specific).
- Cumulated Ambulation Score – CAS: for assessment of basic mobility
- Hand Grip Strength – HGS: as an expression of general muscle strength
- 30-Second Sit-to-Stand Test – RSS: as an expression of function and strength in the lower extremities

Initiator
An initiative that started in 2022 by Morten Tange Kristensen, Christian Dall, Charlotte Suetta, and Mette Aadahl.
The purpose was implementation of three simple, well-validated tests in hospitalized patients to identify patients in need of intervention.
Rationale
Systematic standardized measurement of physical function promotes early detection of functional impairment.
Implementation of three simple, well-validated tests in hospitalized patients will identify the group in need of intervention.
