Dermatologisk Billeddiagnostik

Vores forskning

Mette Mogensen is highly skilled in conducting clinical trials in dermatology - taking new devices from bench to bedside. She is an international dermatological imaging expert. Her primary interests are diagnostic imaging of skin cancer and inflammatory skin diseases; creating a novel platform for image-guided treatment of skin disease.

She holds a 50% research position funded by the Research Foundation of Bispebjerg and Frederiksberg Hospital. She works with diagnosis and monitoring of skin disease at the bedside with advanced diagnostic imaging technologies such as in vivo reflectance confocal microscopy, photoacoustic imaging, optical coherence tomography, nailfold capillaroscopy and doppler ultrasound at the Imaging Research Facility, Dept of Dermatology, Bispebjerg Hospital.
The current main focus of the group is development of image-guided fast-track diagnosis of pigmented skin tumours.
