The Palliative Care Research Unit was launched in 1998 and is formed by a multidisciplinary group conducting high-quality research in palliative care and cancer outcomes in Denmark and across Europe. We are focused on developing patient-reported outcomes (PRO) and electronic PRO systems such as computerized adaptive testing (CAT), identifying the palliative needs of patients and caregivers, and improving the quality of basic and specialized palliative care. Our research group is sponsored by several funders e.g., the regions of Denmark, the EORTC Quality of Life Group, the European Commission, and the Danish Cancer Society.
