The general hospital building at Bispebjerg will open its doors to patients in 2023. The woman who will make it happen is called Lene Stevnhoved. As the new project director, she will head up the project organisation of 20 employees, as well as a row of consultants and contractors.
“I am looking forward to meeting the team and create a great hospital. Bispebjerg has a special atmosphere, and it is an exciting task to match the old and the new architecture,” says Lene Stevnhoved.
Launching a Tender for a Turnkey Contractor
Lene Stevnhoved was previously Project Director at Project University Hospital Køge. A project worth 4 billion kroner. At Bispebjerg one of her first tasks will be to launch the turnkey contract tender, for the new acute care hospital.
“We are about to launch the tender for the turnkey contract at Bispebjerg. I have just completed the same process at Køge, so I have recent experience to draw from,” says Lene Stevnhoved, who sees the several parallels between the two projects:
“Both projects must continue current hospital operation, while construction is being carried out. I think we managed to create a good collaboration between operations and the construction project, so this is something I will take with me to Bispebjerg.”
Solid Experience with Hospital Construction
As of spring 2018, New Hospital Bispebjerg became a part of Centre for Real Estate at the Capital Region of Denmark. CEO Mogens Kornbo looks forward to the collaboration:
“Lene brings solid experience from the construction business – especially hospital construction, which is a very complex discipline. She joins the project at a very exciting time, and we are looking forward to building the hospital of the future at Bispebjerg, with her.”
Lene Stevnhoved is the new Project Director as of October 1st 2018.
