Medical degree from the University of Copenhagen in 1994 followed by 18 months internship at Dept. of Orthopedic Surgery and Dept. of Cardiology, Glostrup Hospital, and at a general physician’s practice in Bagsværd.
From 1996 to 2007, employed as research assistant at Institute of Cancer Epidemiology at the Danish Cancer Society in Copenhagen. Obtained the PhD-degree from the Faculty of Health Science, University of Copenhagen, in 2000 with a thesis entitled ’Effects on the well-being, survival and relapse-free interval of patients with colorectal cancer of regular home visits and telephone contact’. The later work was primarily focused on the effect of multidisciplinary rehabilitation, social relations, and the association between religion and health.
Worked in parallel as external lecturer in Epidemiology at the Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Copenhagen in 1998.
Since 2007, employed as senior researcher at the Research Unit, Dept. of Palliative Medicine, Bispebjerg Hospital. In 2009-2016 external lecturer in the course ’Construction of Questionnaires’ at the Faculty of Public Health, University of Copenhagen.

    Testing the CSNAT intervention to support relatives of cancer patients cared for in their home by municipality nurses.
